Welcome To Bedford Hardware
Welcome to Bedford Hardware. Located in the Central Virginia town of Bedford we are the mythical old-fashioned hardware store. From the top floor to the basement we have more items than you can imagine , just about anything you need and many that you wouldn't expect. While in many ways we're quite typical, in many others we're quite extraordinary. How many hardware stores, even in major cities, can boast of an art gallery displaying the works of local artisans?
Our store has been in the same wonderful old building in Centertown Bedford since the late 19th Century. Bedford is a great place to live and work, with the charm of an historic small town, but conveniently located between the metropolitan cities of Roanoke and Lynchburg. We're also surrounded by the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway and the Peaks of Otter to the North, 500 fabulous miles of shoreline at Smith Mountain Lake to the south, and to the East the rapidly expanding community of Forest, named for Thomas Jefferson's retreat home "Poplar Forest". Our quaint and quiet little town is also home to the National D-Day Memorial, located here in tribute to the sacrifices made by the 'Bedford Boys' in the Normandy Landing in World War II.
We at Bedford Hardware pride ourselves on being an important part of what makes Centertown Bedford a vibrant and vital place to live and work. Day-in day-out we help our neighbors solve problems through the quality products that we sell and the competent advice and service that we offer. But beyond that we also offer things to make life a bit more fun and interesting... things like windspinners, Radio Flyer wagons and toys, woodworking and carving hand tools, Lodge cookware, and old-fashioned Milk Paint. And did we mention Art Upstairs?
Stop by and see what's new...and old..at Bedford Hardware!
