Lodge Cast Iron Cookware:

Since the 1800s  the Lodge family has been producing cast iron cookware such as dutch ovens, skillets, deep fryers, country kettles and more. Also, Lodge offers colored enamel products that are the crowning touch to any American home as well as traditional fine quality cookware.

Queen Cutlery:

Queen's Knives have been sold at Bedford Hardware for nearly as long as the store has been here. Queen Cutlery is a well-known maker of finely crafted pocketknives, handmade in Titusville, PA, about two hours northeast of Pittsburgh.

Queen Cutlery's roots go back to the Schatt and Morgan Cutlery Company, which was founded in Gowanda, NY in 1890 and moved to Titusville in 1895. Queen Cutlery is still housed in the original Schatt and Morgan factory and many of the delicate hand processes and operations employed by Schatt and Morgan are still being used by Queen. Skilled craftsmen are essential to build a "factory knife" by hand and, while it doesn't lead to mass production or extremely low prices, the results are beautiful, functional knives. Their many awards are a testament to the skill of the Queen craftsmen.

Abatron's Wood Restoration System:

Based on our own experience with their products, we enthusiastically added Abatron's Wood Restoration products to our lineup of quality restoration items. Specified by the U.S. Government, national restoration organizations, architects and contractors, Liquid Wood and WoodEpox give new life to rotten or damaged windows, columns, frames and decorative or functional wood components.  With Liquid Wood a piece of detiorated wood is impregnated and restored to rigidity, durability, and water and weather resistance superior to that of the original wood. WoodEpox, on the other hand, is for filling, patching and building up missing sections of wood. While the two can be used separately, they complement each other beautifully, and we think they also complement Bedford Hardware's many product lines.

Sikkens Wood Finishes:

We are very pleased to be the exclusive Bedford area distributor for Sikkens Wood Finishes.  Originally established in the Netherlands in the late 18th Century, Sikkens is now a major division of Akzo Nobel Coatings, the world's largest paint and coatings manufacturer. Sikkens products preserve, protect and bring out the natural beauty of all types of wood. Our offerings come in clear, translucent and opaque finishes, and are suitable for decks, siding and trim, and log homes.

Milk Paint:

The deep rich colors of Milk Paint authentically reflect those colors found on existing antique furniture and buildings. The paint is made in small batches, using earth pigments. As with originally-produced homemade milk paint,  milk protein, lime, clay, and earth pigments such as ochre, umber, iron oxide, lampblack, etc. are used . Milk Paint is packaged in a dry powder form allowing you to control the thickness of the paint for use as either a wash/stain, full cover coat, or for stenciling.

Modern paints cannot compare with the colors and the texture of the finish for achieving the "old" or "country look" of Colonial or Shaker furniture and interiors. And, like the paints used hundreds of years ago, the colors in  Milk Paint will not fade.

Bedford Hardware carries a large selection of woodworking hand tools distributed by Robert Larson Company, a direct importer and distributor of the highest quality woodworking tools manufactured in all parts of the world. Southern Shutter Company manufactures quality wood products using high-grade materials and fine craftsmanship, with  each piece  carefully fitted by a Southern Shutter craftsman. All custom work is hand executed with precise attention to your specifications.

Southern Shutter Company manufactures four standard interior shutter designs, seven standard exterior shutter designs, and ventilators of all configurations. The extensive line is available in all standard lengths and widths, or  will meet any architectural specifications for custom orders. All weather-exposed components are made of Western Red Cedar.

All possible combinations of Southern Shutter's designs, both exterior and interior, can be cut to client specifications. Any order can be tailored to meet designs and delivery schedules required.
